I have finally finished painting the sawblade. All that’s left now is to sign it & put some varnish on it & it goes home to its owner.

While I really enjoyed working on it, I’m glad it is done.

Had a blast at the Monoprinting class I held at Arrowhead Gallery & Studios in Old Fort, NC, yesterday.

As you can see, we made quite the mess as well. Time really passed quickly & the three hours class just zipped by.

Learn to make greeting cards and interesting abstracts that can be stand-alone pieces, collage or embellished upon further for really interesting work. You’ll be able to take home a minimum of 6 greeting cards & a piece that can be framed. No painting experience required. This is addictively fun! This is also great for quilters, fiber artist, sewing & stamping. You can use monoprinting techniques on fabrics, then use the prints in a finished piece. For stampers, it makes a great background to embellish on.
Classes are $30 for Arrowhead members, $40 for non members plus a $20 supply fee.

Got the saw blade cleaned, prepped & have started painting a scene of Lake James with Shorn Off Mountain in the distance. I think this will turn out great!

Here’s the saw blade I have to paint. After cleaning it today, I’ll be putting the primer on it to ready it for painting.

Picked up a 2′ diameter saw blade for commission work. I am going to be painting a scene of Lake James (NC) on it for a local pharmacist. This is going to be interesting!
